Welcome to Recklinghausen

Acquisitions, donations and loans of the past years contextualized with the collection

Despite a small acquisition budget the collection of the Kunsthalle Recklinghausen is evolving steadily. New acquisitions from the prize winners of the art prize »junger westen«, donations from private collections and from artists as well as a loan containing a large omnibus volume from the art collection of the state of North Rhine Westphalia did substantly complete the collection within the last years. The exhibition seeks to shine a light on elder as well as newer positions of the city's collection.

We cordially invite you to the opening of the exhibition on July 28 at 11 am at the Kunsthalle Recklinghausen.

Marita Bergmaier, 1. Representative Mayor
Dr. Hans-Jürgen Schwalm, Director of the Kunsthalle Recklinghausen
