31. Christmas Art Auction
On Saturday, November 18, 2023, the legendary Christmas art auction of the Kunstverein Recklinghausen, the Vestischer Künstlerbund and the Förderverein für Bildende Kunst took place again in the Kunsthalle Recklinghausen. This time, 127 works by renowned regional and international artists came under the hammer at the 31st edition. The auctioneers were once again Dr. phil. Nico Anklam, Head of the Kunsthalle and Director of the Museums of the City of Recklinghausen, and Dr. Arno Apel, Chairman of the Kunstverein Recklinghausen. The traditional event has always been a cooperation with the Kunstverein Recklinghausen, the Vestischer Künstlerbund and the Förderverein für Bildende Kunst. Half of the proceeds go to the participating artists and half to the participating associations. This year's proceeds amounted to 57,580 euros.
