Guide Tours and Workshops for nurseries and school classes

Discover art
At the Kunsthalle Recklinghausen, pre-school children and schoolchildren from the Recklinghausen district can get to know the current exhibition together with art educators, talk about what they have seen and then work creatively themselves.

Information and registration by telephone 02361 501935 or info@remove-this.kunst-re.de.

When city and museum collide

Preserve the city

Equipped with a research kit, the pupils collect artefacts from the urban space. These are then presented in the museum in a white, neutral box and staged in an exhibition arrangement. A fact sheet explains the location, origin and significance of the artefacts. Not only the real facts are recorded, but also imaginative stories that playfully deal with the background of the found objects. The tasks of a museum are then reflected on together: collecting, preserving, researching, exhibiting and communicating.

The offer was developed as part of the RuhrKunstNachbarn project of the RuhrKunstMuseen. It is aimed at all pupils from the second grade upwards.

The workshop lasts approx. 2 hours and costs 3 euros per child (including material costs).

Information and registration by telephone (02361) 501935 or info@remove-this.kunst-re.de.

The Kunsthallengang

School makes art

Art teaches us to look closely, to question and puzzle, to see anew and to think freely. But it also teaches us that most things in this world can be viewed, depicted and interpreted differently than we usually do. In the Kunsthallenbande, pre-school and primary school children get to know the current exhibitions together with art educator Marieke Noordman, they look at works of art, get into fantasising and storytelling and can then put their impressions into practice. The visits are to be seen as an integral part of the lessons and are designed for continuity and sustainability. The themes relate to the current exhibitions at the Kunsthalle, but can also be customised.

The offer is free of charge, but there is currently a waiting list.

Please contact us by telephone on 02361 501935 or info@remove-this.kunst-re.de.

Art Lab

Career exploration

Art Lab is aimed at young adults in upper secondary schools in Recklinghausen who are interested in creative professions. Together we visit people who work in the creative, artistic and artistic fields, such as architects, designers, restorers, but also theatres and museums. We find out what they do, what requirements are needed and what their personal career paths have been like.

Have we piqued your interest or do you know someone who is interested? Then send an email to: artlab@kunst-re.de

The programme is free of charge and you can join at any time. A certificate is issued for regular participation.

The project is sponsored by the Rotary Club Recklinghausen and the Engel Foundation.
