The secret of things

February 17 - April 7, 2019

The exhibition The secret of things combines fifty current pictorial positions, with all of them focusing on the figurative. The list of participating artists contains well-known names as Thomas Huber, Johannes Hüppi, Leiko Ikemura, Karin Kneffel as well as Gert & Uwe Tobias. Both evolving artists and classic positions as Peter Dreher, Dieter Krieg and Konrad Klapheck are also presented.

Numerous paintings have been solely produced for the exhibition in Recklinghausen. The only condition was the pictorial discussion on the figurative or rather the world of things no matter if in a surreal, representational or abstract way - but on a limited image carrier with a format of 50 x 40 cm.

Co-Curator of the exhibition was Professer Hartmut Neumann, art prize winner of the  »junger westen« 1983.
